Indian Government Banned 47 More Chinese Mobile Apps | Tech2Stop

The Ministry of Information Technology Banned 47 More Chinese Apps from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. After the Huge Ban of 59 Chinese Apps, many Apps came up on the internet, which were basically the copies of those Banned Apps.

For those, who don’t know about the initial ban, On 29th June, The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, invoking its power inter Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, Announced the Ban of 59 Chinese Apps, from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, due to Privacy and Security Concerns.

The ministry stated: “The Ministry of Information Technology, invoking it’s power under section 69A of the Information Technology Act read with the relevant provisions of the Information Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking of Access of Information by Public) Rules 2009 and in view of the emergent nature of threats has decided to block 59 apps since in view of the information available they are engaged in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, the security of the state and public order.

The list of Chinese Apps includes popular Apps such as TikTok, UC Browser, SHAREit, Clean-Master, Xender, WeChat, and many more.

These 47 Apps are a copy of those 59 Banned Chinese Apps, that is why the Government again Banned those Apps. The Complete List of these Apps would be Published Shortly.
