Oneplus Nord: Specs, Price, Availability | Everything you need to Know | Tech2Stop

OnePlus held the World’s First Smartphone launch in AR today, July 21st, amidst the Coronavirus Pandemic. During the event, Oneplus announced the specifications and features of the Oneplus Nord.

Here are the details of The Oneplus Nord.

Design

According to Carl Pei founder of Oneplus, they had put attention to every detail to streamline its design. Oneplus Nord has a beautiful Glass Sandwich Design and would be available in two colours Blue Marble and Grey Onyx, both of which are derived from nature. The Oneplus Nord an Alumunium frame with metal buttons and Oneplus’s signature alert slider. The cameras on the back are positioned in the upper left corner, and on the front side, the dual selfie cameras are at the top left.

Display

The display is one of the most essential component of a phone, and the Oneplus didn’t skimp on it to keep the price of the Oneplus Nord down. The Oneplus Nord has a gorgeous 6.44 inch 90 Hz Fluid AMOLED display with a Touch response rate of 180 Hz. The display offers bright, vibrant and smooth viewing experience. Carl Pei, Founder of Oneplus, demonstrated the benefits of 90 Hz display during the live AR event.

Performance

The Oneplus Nord is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G which is based on the 7nm process and has 10% more performance, 30% extra graphical power and % more efficient than its predecessor the Snapdragon 730G. It also boasts of massive 8/12GB RAM, UFS 2.1 128/256 GB Storage and a clean Oxygen OS to provide a smooth and fast experience.

Cameras

Oneplus has borrowed the Primary Camera from the Oneplus 8 to be used in the Oneplus Nord; it is equipped with a 48 MP IMX 586 sensor with an f/1.75 aperture. The Primary sensor is flanked by 8 MP ultrawide camera with an 119 Degree field of view which allows you to fit more in the frame. The Oneplus Nord also has a macro camera which can focus up to 4cm from the subject and a depth sensor which helps in capturing stunning portraits. On the front Oneplus has put its highest resolution sensor on any previous Oneplus phone, it has a 32 MP IMX 616 f/2.45 primary camera along with an 8 MP wide-angle lens with 105 Degree field of view. The rear camera on the Oneplus has a PVD coating on it to conceal its minimalist design and protect the camera from scratches.

Software

The Oneplus Nord comes with Oxygen OS based on Andriod 10 out of the box. This time around Oneplus has decided to provide stock Google consumer apps like Messages, Google Duo, Google Phone app on the Oneplus Nord to improve the user experience.

Battery 

The Oneplus Nord has a massive 4115 mAh battery; moreover, it also supports 30T warp charging. The 30T warp charger is included in the box and is capable of charging the 4100 mAH battery 0% to 70% in just 30 mins.

Price

Oneplus also revealed the official pricing of the Oneplus Nord during the event. The Oneplus Nord will cost ₹24,999 in India and will be available from August 4th.
