Valorant’s next agent is a duelist that can slip into another dimension

The free-to-play multiplayer Windows game, Valorant is all ready to get its next agent that can slip into another dimension. The team at Riots game has been experimenting for a long time to produce a “stealthy infiltration” character, that would be a lone wolf in both personality and playstyle.

“We also wanted Yoru to be an Agent that could create some really high moments throughout the game,” John Goscicki, Product Lead for Characters on Valorant said in the press release, “The kind of rounds where if you pull everything off correctly you feel like the greatest player ever.”

Along with it, Riot Games will be launching a new battle pass on the 12th of January.

The ‘Episode Two’ version costs 1,000 Valorant Points or Vp and offers some unlocks that include 12 gun skins, one melee skin, and an assortment of gun buddies — keychain-style accessories hanging equipped weapon — cards, sprays, and titles. These will also include an ‘Infinity’ version of the Phantom rifle and Classic sidearm, a ‘Salt Shaker’ gun buddy, and a ‘Choose My Weapon’ spray. The battle pass will expire on March 1st, giving players a little under seven weeks to unlock everything they get their hands on.

Riot Games will also be offering a Run it Back bundles including fan favourite skins such as Sovereign Ghost, Oni Phantom, Prime Spectre, Nebula Ares and Spline Operator. If the players missed any of the unlocks offered during Episode One, they can avail it from here.

Riot Games is best known for League of Legends, a massively popular MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) with a thriving professional scene till now. But with Valorant, the company has proven its worth of building a successful game outside of the League universe. The shooter launched last year is often described as a blend of Counter-Strike and Overwatch. Thus it immediately blew up on Twitch and has maintained its popularity throughout the pandemic.

Riot Games updated the title with two new agents Killjoy and Skye and formally launched an esports circuit for established teams to compete in. For Gamers, it’s like a boon, the more the merrier.
