Ola has now incorporated PhonePe as one of its payment methods, due to a new partnership.
Now, Ola customers can use PhonePe to pay for rides. The integration permits PhonePe customers to pay via the PhonePe wallet and UPI. This feature is at present accessible on the Ola app on Android. The iOS version is expected soon.
Ola customers can avail as much as Rs. 200 cashback on the first two rides when paid via the PhonePe app. Customers will get the cashback in your PhonePe wallet. It is to note that the minimal trip amount to be eligible for the cashback is Rs.100. The offer shall be valid until August 5, 2020. You can initiate PhonePe for paying Ola rides from the Payments part that may be accessed from the top-left menu. If the option is not visible, try updating your app to the latest version.
In reality, the corporate says this partnership with PhonePe enhances its current security initiative ‘Ride Safe India’ that encourages customers to go for digital payment channels.
“As we navigate through the pandemic, we have noticed a significant increase in the adoption of digital payment solutions. With commute being one of the largest spend categories for customers, we wanted to encourage this shift through value-added services to ensure them superlative as well as safe mobility experiences,” mentioned Ola spokesperson Anand Subramanian in a press release.
